Posted On: 07/28/2015 From the moment I walked in to Dr. Olsen's office I felt nothing but comfort and knew I was in good hands. Had to get 4 wisdom teeth removed and the procedure went very well and rather quick to my surprise. I did not feel a thing nor did I feel a lot of pain after I woke up from surgery. They even give you Jamba Juice cards to help with the recovery of wisdom teeth since your diet is mainly soft and liquid foods for at least a week. Everyone was a sweet heart and I would recommend this doctor to anyone. Thank you again Dr. Olsen & Staff for your amazing work. Stefanie C

Posted On: 07/15/2015 Best oral surgery place in the Sacramento area! Needed my wisdom teeth to be extracted and the whole staff there made the experience better than I expected. The front desk staff, Victoria and Antoneta, made a great effort to get me in quickly for a consultation. The consult was conducted by an assistant named Cat and Dr. Olsen. Both did a fantastic job explaining the whole procedure and what to expect the following days after the surgery. Scheduling the actual surgery was easy again with help of Victoria. Antoneta had also helped maximize my insurance benefits to ensure I'd pay less out of pocket. The day of surgery was great even though I was very nervous. Again the whole staff did a great job making me feel comfortable. Lori and Cat were the assistants helping for my surgery and the whole procedure was over in less time than I expected. The days following the surgery was very painless and hardly any swelling. Dr. Olsen did an amazing job with extractions and knows exactly what he's doing. Fantastic place all around! Nicholas T

Posted On: 07/15/2015 Looking for the right doctor to get surgery done, or any work for that matter; can be tedious. My brother and I read online that wisdom teeth should be taken out, no matter if it bothers you or not, just because of the problems it could cause when you get older. We recently turned 21 and figured it was about time we finally got around to doing it. After doing some research and reading the reviews at FOSIC we decided to set up an appointment. Folsom is almost an hour away from where we live, and we let Victoria know, the young lady at the desk. She managed to get us both booked on the same day so we can carpool together there. When we got there Cat took our x-rays and sat us into a room making sure we were comfortable as we waited for the doctor to come in. Dr. Olsen came in and talked us through the entire procedure and answered all of our questions we had. We then got Antoneta to help with the payment part. As both of us were still under our parents insurance she made sure to use it to the fullest and maximized it. Victoria then again helped us make our surgery date the same time in the morning about a week later. As we arrived on surgery date they had my brother go in first since his was more straight forward, mine was a little deeper in my gum line. A few min of waiting they called me back there to get ready so when he was done the doctor could jump straight into my room. Dawn helped get me all situated in the room. Made sure I was comfortable and started applying the IV and connecting me to the monitors. A few minutes later she and Alexandria walked in telling me they just finished with my brother. I was impressed at how quickly they were finished with all four of his wisdom teeth. Dr.Olsen walked in and told me everything went good on him and asked if I was ready for mine. And that's the last thing I really remember. After waking up I remember getting wheeled into the car with a popsicle they had given me. The next day I felt totally fine, like TOTALLY. I had not swelled up at ALL, and was in no pain whatsoever. I was on some medicine to help with the swelling, and was also given some pain medicine to take if I needed it, which I ended up never taking. Every once in a while I could taste a little blood, which was to be expected, but I still talked fine, ate fine, and slept fine, which I read could be a problem for some people. Everyone I talked to had a bad experience getting their wisdom teeth taken out by other offices. I had such a good experience and they all told me it was all due to the doctor being extremely good at what he does.

All in all, I understand I wrote a lot, and I normally don't ever write reviews, but I feel like for a case like this and for something as major as getting surgery done, it was worth the time to let other people know my experience. Everything went so smooth from Victoria planning around both our work schedules, to Cat doing our x-rays, to Dr. Olsen and his wonderful assistants, Dawn and Alexandria.

People always have stories on how much pain they were in after they got their wisdom teeth pulled, and how they managed. I sadly don't get a story like that; Instead I get to tell the story of how easy and wonderful it was to get mine taken out. Matt T

The facilities are clean, welcoming, and very chic.

All of the staff, front desk to Dr. Olson himself, are awesome and helpful.

I was referred to FOSIC by a co-worker. She told me about her amazing experience and so I set up an appointment. It was a simple phone call to set up an appointment and I was in only 2 days later. My x-rays were done in a matter of seconds, NO uncomfortable plastic shoved in my mouth like other places. The dental assistant was very friendly, she explained everything, asked me if I wanted water and all. Dr. Olson was extremely pleasant and genuinely seemed to care about his work.

The procedure was so fast and painless I was honestly shocked. They even gave me a warm blanket beforehand to make me more comfortable. Once I was done I was given full explanation about how to take my meds and they also gave me a take home bag with everything I needed to recover.

FOSIC pays attention to the details which goes a long way. Ella C

Posted On: 05/07/2015 Had three molars extracted today. I'm not new to extractions; last time I had one (somewhere else), I felt the nerve root coming out. It didn't hurt, but I didn't like it either.

I work in health care, so I know a little about quality care from the professional end. Everything about my procedure at FOSIC today was first-rate. Extra touches that show you they care about your comfort, both physically and mentally. Lip balm to protect your mouth when you have to open it wider than nature ever intended. A gift card to Jamba Juice for some tolerable and soothing nourishment (though that had to wait till I could feel my face). Dogged determination to make sure I was 100% numb (and I was - didn't feel a thing). Good aftercare supplies, including a wonderful hands-free ice pack, antibacterial rinse, and dry socket preventative.

I don't recall ever having such a thorough, caring dental experience. Dr. Olsen is exceptional at what he does and the entire staff are professional and skilled.

I'd highly recommend them to anyone I love. Thank you, guys! Dorinda M

Posted On: 04/26/2015 LOVE this place! I had a cracked tooth that needed to be extracted, so my dentist referred me to Dr. Olson. He was away on vacation at the time so my dentist told me he could refer me to someone else, but if it was him we would wait for Dr. Olson. So I did and it was totally worth it.

Dr. Olson was very friendly and knowledgable (I wanted to be a dentist so I'm picky). They offered IV sedation which would've been great but I had to drive so I did nitrous instead. Before the procedure they gave me oral antibiotics and they covered me in a warm soft blanket which was an excellent touch. The extraction and bone graft was super fast and painless. They sent me home with an antibiotic mouthwash, a script for antibiotics and painkillers, aftercare instructions, and an icepack that wraps around your head so you don't have to hold it in place. My healing went great!

Overall I am extremely happy with the experience. They treated me wonderfully. Next I will be going back to get a dental implant placed in a couple weeks and I'm confident he will do a great job! Marie S

Posted On: 04/22/2015 Dr Hosseini referred me to him several months ago he has that good Blues Brothers thing going on the more I think about it. He pulled one tooth I had no need for painkillers and was ready to do 20 miles that afternoon sweet. His staff are very well laid out from the time you enter the room. All the tools are laid out and ready extremely well organized office. And I love the patina on the wood in the waiting room just fits FOSIC. Daniel N

Posted On: 02/18/2015 Victoria at reception was very friendly, put me at ease both the day of the consult and of the procedure. Dawn and Dr. Olsen were fabulous in taking care of me. I really appreciated that my wishes were respected, even though my requests about meds and suturing were a little unusual, and that I was talked to during the surgery, not over. That was so important because I chose to be fully awake. I was completely shocked to find that getting my permanent retainer bonded in at the orthodontist years ago was scarier than this extraction turned out to be, because at FOSIC I felt in control, and knew minute by minute what to expect about the sensations going on in my mouth. The ice pack headband, chapstick, jamba juice card, etc. were neat perks, thanks so much! Alyssa H

The doctor and all the staffs I dealt with are great and the first impression is given by the first person you meet at the office. In my case during all my visits, the first person was 'Victoria Tran'. I could not stop myself praising Victoria Tran, the Patient Care Coordinator's patience and friendly nature to help patients visiting the doctor's office. She is the face of Dr. Olsen's office, who will welcome you with all the genuine smile and help you through all the questions you have before and after your treatment. For me she has been a great example of patience, the way she dealt with my other doctors' clearance for my dental surgery. Victoria, Hats Off to you for being so patient. You impressed me highly with the way you handle the patients at the doctor's office! You are gem of a person.
